Rock Climbing

I thought I would take the time to share a bit about myself. I am one of the happy top rope climbers mentioned in the About page, for a start . I think I am a bit of a weird climber as I have a fear of falling, bet you thought I was going to say heights. Thing is once I am at the top of a climb and have good solid ground under my feet I am fine and happy, its when I have to be belayed down that I get nervous. I do like to do the climb up and walk down type of climbs.

As well as climbing I enjoy creative creative things like crafts and writing. In the picture section there are some pictures of a fort I built myself and another that was a joint effort. The dome shaped one was mine alone. The other has a back wall (didn’t think to take a picture, silly me) built by friends Petra and Dave, they even did a patch of wattling with mud before they had to abandon it to get back to town and work. I decided to ‘help’ the kids finish it by sloping larger branches, intertwining them so as to give the kids the chance to add leaves and make it private for them.

I know that this is a social climbing site but I do more then just climb! I love writing and hey I write about climbing a bit so its relevent, no really it is, honest . During the summer I found this site that was kinda like a social writing site, people can write articles on whatever they fancy and share it with the world and even make some profit with a few tastefully added google ads, the layout is a good one. The people there make a great community, there are some very supportive folks and a wealth of articles to learn from as well as just enjoy. One of my highest performing articles as far as how often it has been read is actually on camping equipment. I am hoping that I can take some of my work there on climbing and try expanding on it here so keep your eyes out for new blog posts!
